What Romvo built with Greelow
Romvo is a versatile enterprise social network — a web and mobile collaboration platform that consolidates day-to-day business operations (sales, customer service, project management) into a single, secure environment. The product serves businesses of every size and academic institutions across multiple regions.
When Romvo's CTO reached out to Greelow after an internal restructuring, the situation was pragmatic: the product needed a technology team to revitalize it, keep it running, and simultaneously build the new business surfaces the roadmap called for. Greelow assembled the squad and picked up the work.
The Challenge
Romvo's situation is common inside real product companies and rare in idealized case studies: an existing codebase, real users depending on it, real maintenance debt, and a leadership team that couldn't afford to pause new feature work while things got cleaned up. The engagement had to do both at once.
Specifically:
- Rescue the product. Stabilize performance and reliability so the platform stopped losing time to reactive firefighting.
- Maintain in parallel. Support the users depending on the platform every day while the deeper work happened underneath.
- Grow the surface area. Build the new features the roadmap called for — the business had to keep moving, not just stop bleeding.
The Solution
Greelow assembled a distributed squad that maps to the technology surface Romvo runs on: a project leader, Java developers, PHP developers, Flutter developers, UX specialists, and other specialized roles as the work called for them. Every engineer went through Greelow's recruitment discipline — the same senior-only filter we apply to every account.
The squad immersed itself in the codebase and the product. The project leader stayed in close communication with Romvo's CTO — technical challenges and business requirements moved through the same channel, and priorities stayed aligned. Agile tools and methodologies kept the workflow smooth as the team scaled features in parallel with the rescue work.
Over the course of the engagement, the team:
- Optimized performance and stability across the core platform.
- Implemented new features and business capabilities that expanded Romvo's market surface.
- Kept the platform evolving in step with actual user needs — the roadmap responded to observed usage, not to hypothetical requirements.
Technologies Used
Java, PHP, Flutter, and UX / UI design across the collaboration platform's web and mobile surfaces.
Team Composition
A rigorously recruited team of senior Latin American engineers: a project leader plus Java, PHP, Flutter, UX, and other specialized developers, all working fully distributed.
Engagement Duration
February 2022 – ongoing.
The Outcome
Romvo grew — in functionality, in code quality, and in geographic reach. The remote collaboration model let the team move quickly on evolving requirements without the friction of a co-located handoff. The platform now serves more customers across more markets than it did at the start of the engagement.
The ongoing partnership continues to produce results in both directions: Romvo has a technology team it can rely on for both the maintenance work and the growth work, and Greelow has an active reference for how a distributed, senior squad handles product-revitalization engagements with real users on the other end.
